In their natural habitat, cold hardy carnivorous plants experience hot summers and icy winters, which is no different than what they experience at our nursery in Oregon. We grow all cold hardy plants outdoors.
In April and May, these plants slowly emerge from winter dormancy and will be in full active growth by early June. By late September, they slow down and cease all new
growth. By November, much of their summer growth
turns brown and dies back. Some plants will maintain a few leaves during
winter, but most drop all their leaves and have nothing to show.
