Heliamphora: Sun Pitcher
As a native of the mountaintops in Venezuela, Heliamphora prefers full to partial sunlight and very mild daytime temperatures (65° to 80°F). It can tolerate hotter conditions but should always be protected from the scorching afternoon sun. Cool nights (below 60°F) are often essential, especially during very warm days. In summer, you might notice slower growth, but the plant will rebound when temperatures moderate. Constant high humidity isn't necessary. At our nursery, our collection adjusts to a relative humidity below 40% during the summer.
