This species is known for its short, tubby red pitchers with wide, scalloped red lips or peristomes. Plants can remain compact for many seasons before reaching maturity with pitchers approaching 6 inches. It loves bright, filtered light, so grow it in a sunny windowsill.

Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for indoor growing.
Pitcher Size: Up to 6 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day; 55°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.

    Got it at a delayed time because of a winter storm but it was packaged so well that it was still in perfect condition when I finally got it. The cups that were there during shipping dried up and had to be cut but the plnt is producing many new ones already! Very happy with my purchase!!

    The pitcher plant arrived very well packed, with a heat pack, in great condition. It is now growing nicely with eight well formed pitchers and more coming. My wife was very happy with this Valentine’s Day gift.

    The plant was packaged very well and arrived in good shape, with several pitchers fully grown already. One pitcher was damaged during transportation (which is perfectly understandable). Soon after I unpacked the plant, a rot set in that required me to amputate 2 leaves, but I don't know if that was the seller's fault, and the plant made a full recovery. The plant is still growing nicely to this day.

    This plant arrived in excellent condition (aside from one broken leaf, which is almost impossible to avoid). After a month in my terrarium, the plant has grown large enough to be transferred to a larger pot.
