This species is known for its short, tubby red pitchers with wide, scalloped red lips or peristomes. Plants can remain compact for many seasons before reaching maturity with pitchers approaching 6 inches. It loves bright, filtered light, so grow it in a sunny windowsill.

Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for indoor growing.
Pitcher Size: Up to 6 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day; 55°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.

    My plant arrived safe an on time. excellent care was given with the packaging, due to how cold it has been there was a package warmer to keep it in safe temperature. it is an absolutely beautiful plant. thank you very much. i look forward to future purchases.

    Plant arrived sooner than anticipated. It had one fully grown pitcher and another that looked as if it had opened up one or two days before it arrived. I would have wanted a slightly bigger plant but that is its only problem. Would buy again.

    The nepenthes was well packed and in excellent condition. It has pitchers on every leaf and all seem to be growing rapidly.

    Got it at a delayed time because of a winter storm but it was packaged so well that it was still in perfect condition when I finally got it. The cups that were there during shipping dried up and had to be cut but the plnt is producing many new ones already! Very happy with my purchase!!
