Your reservation fee will be applied in full to your plant purchase at the nursery. Read below for details.
Current Stock:
Maximum Purchase:
1 unit

1. Reservations are required!
The reservation fee is per vehicle. The nursery is on residential property, so parking space is very limited. The reservation fee is credited towards your purchase of plants at the nursery. Think of it as a minimum purchase to visit the nursery, but you pay it ahead of time to secure your spot.

Space is very limited.

Dates in May and June have a higher reservation fee because it is limited to two parties per time slot.  You will have more personal time with the owners, Jeff and Jacob, plus an early opportunity to to acquire larger and rare specimens.

After making your reservation, your name will automatically be included on the guest list. Your order number is your "ticket." You can also bring as many guests as you can safely fit into your car.

The reservation fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable within 48 hours of your reservation. Certain dates fill up quickly, so last-minute cancellations mean a lost opportunity for another grower to attend.

Please sign up only if you are certain of attending.

2. Stay as long as you want until we close at 3 PM.
Your selected time slot is your estimated arrival time and the earliest you may visit the nursery.  We need to do this to control the flow of customers on the premises, but you and your party are welcome to stay until we close at 3 pm.

3. Directions are sent via email on Thursday prior to your weekend reservation.
On Thursday prior to your reservation, we will email you directions to the nursery and confirm your attendance.  We understand you might want the directions earlier than that.  However, we will send out the address and directions only at the specified date.  For an estimate on your drive time to get here, use Google Maps to get to Eagle Creek, Oregon (97022) from your location.

4. Visit us only during your scheduled reservation.
We are on residential property and allow visitors on the premises only during approved scheduled visits. Please respect the privacy of those who live here. Unscheduled visits will be declined. Sorry, no exceptions.

5. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
The nursery is open air with very little shelter. If it's hot and sunny, you'll sweat. If it rains, you'll get wet. The walkways are non-paved, so make sure that you wear proper shoes. We will provide complimentary refreshments.  A portable toilet will be available onsite.  Eagle Creek Saloon is located next door if you want to have a meal.

6. Keep your dogs at home.
We have two nursery dogs on the premises who regularly socialize with other dogs at daycare.  However, because they are not familair with your dog and this is their territory, we cannot predict how they will interact.  For everyone's safety and peace of mind, please keep your pets at home.  No exceptions.  We also strongly discourage leaving pets in cars during your visit.

Certified service dogs on service harnesses and trained to perform a specific task are welcomed. Please let us know in advance.

7. Plant Points and Reward Coupons
If you have an online account with us, we will be glad to provide you Plant Points for your purchase at the nursery.  You will earn 10 Plant Points for each dollar you spend at the nursery (minus discounts).  Points will be added manually to your account within 3 days. (Points are provided only to the purchaser.  Purchases made by others in your party will be applied to their account only, if they have one.)

If you have a Rewards Coupon, please bring the coupon code with you.  You can find it in your online account.  Show us your unused coupon code, and we will apply it to your purchase.

We had a good time seeing all of the plants and asking the owners questions (thank you both by the way). The dogs were a bonus! Would recommend!

    Truly a spectacular experience

Posted by Will Ranger on February 9, 2020

Sarracenia Northwest has always been a very important part of my life, after all, this wonderful place was the sole reason why I got into this amazing hobby. Their staff has helped me through problems with my plants, shipped me plants in perfect condition, and has been a wonderful resource for furthering my plant growing skills. This year, I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Sarracenia Northwest during one of their July open houses, and it was truly an incredible experience. I enjoyed touring the nursery, purchasing plants, and getting my questions answered by the knowable staff of Sarracenia Northwest. They were even kind enough to ship my plants back to my residence, eliminating the need for me to trek the plants home in my carry on. Overall, just a fantastic experience that I will cherish for many years to come.

Excellent way to spend the day

This was my second time around going to an SNW Open House. I think it's enough to say that I am eagerly (and patiently) waiting for the following spring/summer to go to another open house at the SNW nursery. Friendly staff, great coffee and snacks, and awesome plants. Thanks a lot!

    Open house experience

I had a wonderful experience at the 9/14 open house/nursery. Jacob and the other staff members were courteous and helpful, patiently answering my novice questions. They offered advice on care and maintenance of the plants I purchased. I look forward to visiting again and adding to my collection of carnivorous plants. So glad that you guys are here; an amazing local source.

This is a must do item.

We found lots of great plants and learned a lot from the crew at the open house. A car full of people for $15 and everyone gets a free plant. Pretty cool.
