VISITATION GUIDELINES

1. Reservations is per vehicle.
Space at the nursery is limited, but you may bring as many guests as you can safely fit in your car. The reservation fee will be credited towards your purchase of plants at the nursery. Think of it as a minimum purchase to visit the nursery, but you pay it ahead of time to secure your spot.

After submitting your reservation fee, your name will automatically be included on the guest list. You will also receive an order confirmation, so check your inbox or spam folder.

The reservation fee is refundable up to 72 hours prior to the event. If you need to cancel with less than 72-hour notice, the fee will be applied only as store credit for online purchases. Please sign up only if you are certain of attending.

2. Directions are sent via email on Thursday prior to your weekend reservation.
We understand you might want the directions earlier than that. To limit the number of emails we send out, we provide directions when we send out reminders a few days prior to the event. For an estimate on your drive time to get here, use Google Maps to get to Eagle Creek, Oregon (97022) from your location.

3. Visit us only during your scheduled reservation.
We are on residential property and allow visitors on the premises only during approved scheduled visits. Please respect the privacy of those who live here. Unscheduled visits will be declined. Sorry, no exceptions.

4. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
The nursery is open air with some shelter. If it's hot and sunny, you'll sweat. If it rains, you'll get wet. The walkways are non-paved, so wear proper shoes. We will provide complimentary refreshments. A portable toilet will be available onsite. Eagle Creek Saloon is located next door if you want to have a meal.

5. Keep your dogs at home.
We have two nursery dogs on the premises who enjoy playing fetch with anyone who's willing to throw a ball. However, because they are not familiar with your dog and this is their territory, we cannot predict how they will interact. For everyone's safety and peace of mind, please keep your pets at home. There isn't any shaded parking, so we also strongly discourage leaving pets in cars during your visit.

Certified service dogs on service harnesses and trained to perform a specific task are welcomed. Please let us know in advance.

Great experience! My only regret was I didn't grab a few more things while I was there :) Looking forward to next year!

It just gets better every year!

Posted by Terry Czerwonka on August 16, 2019

Every year we go to the Open House and every year we are NOT disappointed. I go home with a carload of healthy, vigorous, exotic plants. Plants I've purchased in previous years have survived through the winter outside and they come back every year a little bigger and a few more each spring. My cobra lily from 2018 has put out a whole colony of little ones around itself. The staff is always friendly and helpful which makes for an even better visit!

    Fascinating plants

Posted by Sue Mackaness on August 15, 2019

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed all the plants, particularly the Sarracenia. You gave us so much useful info and we’re excited about the plants we bought. They’re all putting on new growth and catching insects. We can’t wait to return for more.

    Amazing!

Posted by Rachel S. on October 6, 2018

I have been purchasing plants from Sarracenia NW for years now. I had usually purchased in person from local artisan/farmer's markets, but this year I went to one of the open houses at the nursery. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgable, and it was amazing to see the nursery. Thank you!

Great time at the Open House

Posted by April South on October 5, 2018

I had a really great experience at the recent open house (my first). Lots of great displays and so many different and interesting plants to choose from. The staff was super friendly and ready to answer any and all questions. After choosing the plants I wanted (tough decision). I snacked on hot dogs, chips, and Italian soda. Can't think of a better way to spend the day. Thank you very much.

    Appreciate Your Open House Annually!

Posted by Vincent Mandina on August 17, 2018

We love attending your open house every year since you start having them. It is a great way to see my options and ask valuable questions which I find you both are great (and patient) at answering. Most of all it is an excellent opportunity for me to add to my collection. Thank you for providing this annual opportunity. It is an outing my wife and I enjoy very much. Keep it going!

    There are also goats

Posted by Jesse Iford on July 29, 2018

Aside from the always witty banter of Jeff and Jacob (or is it Jacob and Jeff?), even on painfully hot days in July (as I always seem to find the hottest) the nursery is an absolute must see if you can make it. The pictures of the mother plants and bog gardens they post to facebook do not do them justice. Also... did I mention the goats?
