VISITATION GUIDELINES

1. Reservation is per vehicle.
Space at the nursery is limited, but you may bring as many guests as you can safely fit in your car. The reservation fee will be credited towards your purchase of plants at the nursery. Think of it as a minimum purchase to visit the nursery, but you pay it ahead of time to secure your spot.

After submitting your reservation fee, your name will automatically be included on the guest list. You will also receive an order confirmation, so check your inbox or spam folder.

The reservation fee is refundable up to 72 hours prior to the event. If you need to cancel with less than 72-hour notice, the fee will be applied only as store credit for online purchases. Please sign up only if you are certain of attending.

2. Directions are sent via email on Thursday prior to your weekend reservation.
We understand you might want the directions earlier than that. To limit the number of emails we send out, we provide directions when we send out reminders a few days prior to the event. For an estimate on your drive time to get here, use Google Maps to get to Eagle Creek, Oregon (97022) from your location.

3. Visit us only during your scheduled reservation.
We are on residential property and allow visitors on the premises only during approved scheduled visits. Please respect the privacy of those who live here. Unscheduled visits will be declined. Sorry, no exceptions.

4. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
The nursery is open air with some shelter. If it's hot and sunny, you'll sweat. If it rains, you'll get wet. The walkways are non-paved, so wear proper shoes. We will provide complimentary refreshments. A portable toilet will be available onsite. Eagle Creek Saloon is located next door if you want to have a meal.

5. Keep your dogs at home.
We have two nursery dogs on the premises who enjoy playing fetch with anyone who's willing to throw a ball. However, because they are not familiar with your dog and this is their territory, we cannot predict how they will interact. For everyone's safety and peace of mind, please keep your pets at home. There isn't any shaded parking, so we also strongly discourage leaving pets in cars during your visit.

Certified service dogs on service harnesses and trained to perform a specific task are welcomed. Please let us know in advance.

    Plants and open house

Posted by Connie nolte scott on August 27, 2025

Couldn't be happier! We took home, 3 Venus fly traps, all are doing amazing! 2 mixed pots with darlingtonias, both are thriving 5 tropical carnivores, all are beyond my wildest dreams.( historically i don't do indoor plants but these guys are so hardy and fun!) All of this success is due to great communication at the open house and the informative videos on your website. Excited for next year's open house, it was so amazing to see your spectacular display gardens! Thanks

I flew out from Chicago to see the nursery and it was well worth it! I had never seen such a variety and quantity before. The opportunity to talk with Jeff and Jacob was pure bonus. (I unfortunately didn't get the names of other two peoples, I believe her name was Brook. ) I plan to return for another open house in the future.

    Very Impressed!

Posted by Laura Cooper on August 15, 2025

I visited your nursery on July 12 and was amazed at the variety of plants available. I was going to buy 2 or 3 plants, but ended up with 9. They are doing very well in my bog. I was also impressed with the knowledge imparted. All my questions were answered very patiently and in detail. Would love to go back next year! Thank you!

Worth the trip! I drove down from WA and met friends, and dragged them with me. Now there are 2 more "plant lovers" out there! Even though it was hot, we had a great time. The Staff had shade tents set up and cold drinks available. We loved seeing the plants up close & the staff was super helpful answering questions. Would definitely go again. (and plan for a bigger plant $$ budget to get more things) : )

    Great finds and Education

We had the opportunity to visit during the open house. The many varieties in the display gardens were fantastic to see and so healthy looking. We got a a Darlingtonia California , 2 Venus flytraps for the grandkids garden, D Tracyl, chadwick and juthatip cooper. Everything is looking good and healthy but the red dragon flytraps. The boys were testing them and may have damaged some of the traps but I think they will recover. We really appreciated the opportunity to see so many of these fascinating plants in one place. The hot house plants were so cool loved seeing those so large. Would go again given the opportunity.

As wonderful as the plants are to view online, having the opportunity to walk through the greenhouses and grounds is an exciting opportunity. If you get the chance you should definitely do this. Tickets are limited so get them while you can. I especially love the tropical greenhouse with all the exotic carnivores.

This was a wonderful experience every way possible and I'll do it again next year!! Meeting the growers and getting to have our questions answered was so helpful- everyone was so patient and knowledgable. Seeing the wide variety of plants available was eye-opening because I didn't even know most existed! Prices were so reasonable for very healthy plants that we could afford to try a few new ones. I especially loved the care guides included with purchase. To top it off, the weather was perfect and I got to spend the afternoon with my daughter and granddaughter at a plant nursery, getting the next generation involved with plants. Thanks for making this experience open to the public :-) - Sandra

This was my first time visiting a carnivorous plant grower. I enjoyed every minutes of it, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had all my purchased plants shipped to me back in Illinois. All my plants were very well packaged (Thank you Jason!) and looked beautiful and healthy. Thank you team Sarracenia Northwest for the great experience!

This was my first visit to a carnivorous plant nursery, so I didn't know what to expect. It was a sensory overload with so many beautiful plants. Of course, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely looking to attend again next year.
