Nepenthes x St. Mercury

(19 reviews) Write a Review
This complex hybrid was bred by our friend, Sam Estes, of Leilani Nepenthes Nursery. Its parentage consists of N. kampotiana, N. ventricosa, and N. maxima. This plant really caught our attention because of its elegant, colorful pitchers, approximately 6-8 inches. Each pitcher has a long neck and a bulbous base. The upper pitchers are also equally elegant, like a Grecian urn. The plant also grows vigorously and produces lots of pitchers during the growing season. It is also the first to produce pitchers in spring and the last to drop its pitchers in winter. It grows very well as a houseplant and is suitable for first-time growers.

    Better than expected

I was shocked at the quality of the plant I received. It already had two pitchers on it and it was perfectly packaged. I have ordered several times with Sarracenia Northwest and I will continue to do so because the plants are always in great condition and the customer service is wonderful!
