Nepenthes sanguinea is an excellent plant for the first-time grower. It can remain compact for many years, which makes it a great candidate for any sunny windowsill. Large, established plants can be quite impressive, with older plants growing traps 9 inches tall! With good lighting, its firm waxy leaves will develop an attractive reddish-bronze hue.

Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for indoor growing.
Pitcher Size: Up to 9 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day; 55°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.

    I have a feeling I'm going to be saying the same thing about all of the plants I purchased from you guys. I'must forced to copy and paste because what more can I say then the following.They all came in great shape. They have all been packaged perfectly. And they are all growing out of control, in a good no great way... I will own every plant they sell at some point.

    I placed my order and just afterwards, we hit record low temps. Because of this my plants arrived in poor condition. This was unavoidable. No one knew our temps would drop so drastically. Sarracenia Northwest sent me new plants. The frost protection was perfect. Replacement plants arrived in perfect condition. I would highly recommend this company and will order again.

    I know sanguinea aren't exactly rare, but I've been wanting to get my hands on one for a while. I love Nepenthes and it's a very cute addition to my collection.

    This plant was received in great condition! It's growing like a weed and is already producing lots of pitchers for me! I am very happy with this plant!
