Nepenthes minima, as the name suggests, is the recently named miniature form of N. maxima. While it still grows long fines, its leafspan and pitchers are much smaller, with most adult pitchers approaching only 3 inches tall. This form is only found around Lake Poso in Sulawesi, where it grows mainly in grasslands. It's one of the few species of Nepenthes considered to be a pyrophite, meaning it can withstand brush fires and grow back from its roots. N. minima prefers warmer conditions than other forms of N. maxima but will happily grow in a sunny windowsill and produce and hold lots of cute little pitchers at a time.
