A new addition
I have never grown a carnivorous plant before and decided to give it a try. I purchased the hardy Venus fly trap in hopes it would be forgiving of my mistakes. The plant arrived promptly and was well packaged to ensure its proper moisture while shipping. I repotted the plant into a larger deeper ceramic pot to help establish deep roots for the winter. The plant has been doing ok. The shoot are turning black one by one which worries me, but it is still trying to produce new leaves as well so that must be a good thing. I keep the soil moist with distilled water as it spends its day mostly in sunshine on the back deck. I can't even explain the joy I had the I saw it catch an ant for the first time. I hope the plant survives the winter as it claims to be able to, and returns this spring even stronger. We shall see!

Plants
This review is long overdue! I have purchased several plants (nepenthes, Sarracenia, and VFT) from Sarracenia Northwest and I am never disappointed! This is by far my favorite source for carnivorous plants and potting medium! My plants always arrive quick, healthy, and are always packaged very carefully!! I highly recommend purchasing from this nursery! It is hands down my favorite:)
