Utricularia sandersonii

$16.95

As with all Utricularia, commonly called bladderworts, the carnivorous activity occurs beneath the soil surface. Little bladder-like structures along the plant's roots capture teeny-tiny soil critters, such as nematodes. While this might not be terribly exciting for most first-time growers, many growers have come to appreciate bladderworts for their beautiful flowers. Utricularia sandersonii is most noted for its small rabbit-like flowers. Our particular clone, however, looks more like angry rabbits. (We try not to take it personally.) For continuous flowers throughout the year, provide warm nights (above 65°F).
