This form of Sarracenia leucophylla lacks red pigment (Anthocyanin-Free), so its veins are green rather than red. Like other forms of S. leucophylla, it produces one or two pitchers per growth point. Pitchers tend to look their best in late summer and early fall. This plant is ideal for the patient gardener, as it grows more slowly than other forms of S. leucophylla.

GENERAL CARE
Type of Plant: Outdoor perennial for container growing.
Height: Up to 16 inches.
Sunlight: Full sun during the growing season.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite only.
Winter: Dormant. Minimal protection in USDA zones 7-9. Mulch in colder regions.

PLANT YOU RECEIVE

ABOUT MATURE DIVISIONS
After we divide our mother plants, we allow the rhizomes to mature for at least one full growing season, sometimes two, before including them in our inventory. You get a much more vigorous and robust plant than one that has been recently divided.

SEASONAL APPEARANCE
January-March: Plant is dormant with no pitchers.
April: Spring growth will appear by the end of the month.
May: Early season pitchers are often thin and wispy.
June-August: Non-carnivorous leaves may appear alongside thin pitchers.
September: Stunning vibrant pitchers finally appear.
October: Dormancy begins. Fewer pitchers. No new growth until spring.
November-December: Plant is dormant. Browned pitchers are cut off.

    Just Recieved It. Looks Good!

I just received this plant today, it came still dormant, but so far it looks pretty big. The shipping was super fast, and so was the packaging. Definitely worth the price, and definitely buying from SNW again soon!

    Great Plant, Great Value

Posted by Robert S. Sposili on November 20, 2017

I had been wanting to acquire one of these plants (Sarracenia leucophylla all green) after seeing a fellow grower with one at a plant show. I looked around and found that Sarracenia Northwest had the best price. As I have become accustomed, the plant I received was an excellent specimen and is growing beautifully in my yard.

Plant was much taller than expected. Placed plant with my other plants and growth is incredible. Will be ordering more plants next season.
