Sarracenia leucophylla, "Cool White"

In our collection of Sarracenia leucophylla, we identified a strain that had slightly thinner veins than most, which made the white portion more brilliant, a very cool effect when you see a bunch of these plants together. This effect is most notable in late summer and early fall when this species produces its best pitchers of the season.

Plants You Receive: |

Plants are shipped in 4-inch pots with proper growing media. Each plant is a division from select mother plants in our collection. Divisions were done in March 2016. Pitchers are expected to reach 12 inches during their first season after division.
All cold hardy plants are grown outdoors at our nursery in Oregon and experience the changes of the seasons. Care instructions are provided. Please watch the monthly video podcast for examples of how your plant may look at this time of the year and important growing tips for the season. |

Use mineral-free water or water low in minerals (less than 50 parts per million). Keep the soil wet by setting the plant in a dish of standing water.

Use 1 part peat moss and 1 part perlite (or washed river sand).
Avoid fertilizers, regular garden soil, and compost.

Beautiful plants
I saw the display of plants at the Saturday Market and through I'd experiment with purchasing some. The gentleman at the market indicated you had considerable experience in shipping these delicate looking plants and I was pleasantly surprised when the plants arrived with multiple layers of protection. The plants are now happily living in pots on my porch. Thank you very much for expanding my garden in a new direction.

Held up great in shipping
Very impressed with the quality of the sarracenia I received. The plant was about 18 inches when it arrived and was packaged well to stand up to the stress of shipping. The plant looks even better in person. This was my first order from SNW, but it won't be my last.
