Sarracenia Judith Hindle
Bred in England in 1985, this plant quickly became a coveted classic. It has been widely regarded as one of the finest Sarracenia ever created for its uniform shape, moderate height, colorful pitchers, and steady growth throughout the growing season. The traps are stunning. Young leaves are green streaked with red and heavily speckled with white around the top. The pitchers quickly convert to the deepest berry-red, leaving the top of the ruffled lid dotted with pink and white while the rest of the trap assumes darker complexions. Leaves are of medium height and growth is compact and uniform. Older plants are somewhat more robust, but are otherwise identical to younger ones. Its ease of growth and reliable nature makes Judith Hindle a prize in any collection.

2nd Season Divisions
After dividing our mother plants in spring, we grow the divisions for a year before releasing them. You get a more vigorous plant with a healthier root system when compared to a recent division.
All outdoor perennials experience seasonal changes at our nursery in Oregon.
• January-March: Plant is dormant with no pitchers.
• April: Spring growth will appear by the end of the month.
• May: Fully developed pitchers will gradually appear.
• June-August: Full display of pitchers.
• September: Plant produces its best pitchers of the season.
• October: Dormancy begins. Fewer pitchers. No new growth until spring.
• November-December: Plant is dormant. Browned pitchers are cut off.

Beautiful, healthy plant!
I was really impressed with the quality of the plant and especially the care taken in packaging it so carefully. It arrived in two days!

Beautiful
I wanted to expand a little from my flytraps (which I love), so I thought I'd try a pitcher plant. I liked how several of these look, but I decided to go with one of the more inexpensive ones, in case I couldn't keep it alive. So I got the Judith Hindle. And I have to say, the picture doesn't do it justice, it's beautiful. As usual the packing was top notch, protecting the plant and keeping it moist. Of course, now I want to order more!

Excellent
Order 1 minth ago. Plant arrived in great shape and much bigger than I anticipated. Am very satisfied with the plant. It adjusted well and is thriving. Started with 3 pitchers roughly 8 inches to 1 foot tall. Has since sprouted a fourth pitcher which grew magnificiently fast and got its red hue within days of maturing. A fifth pitcher is about to open up, I suspect by tomorrow.

Excellent Grower
I received my Judith Hindle about a month ago (the beginning of spring). It came as nothing more than a bare rhizome, as I'm sure it was still in a dormant state, in a small cup sized pot. I dropped it into my bog garden and within a couple days I saw some new growth. I live in Southern California (USDA Zona 10A) so I'm sure the weather is helping a lot. I now have one full pitcher that is about to open up, with another about half the size and a few more beginning to poke up. It appears that this plant is healthy and will produce many pitchers to come.

Beautiful variety
In the winter in Florida the plant has continued to send up new pitchers and still looks stunning. They rise green and then develop the red color. The pitchers have now reached about 8" tall. The package arrived well with great packaging and I am very pleased with my experience.

Sarracenia x Judith Hindle
The shipment was received very promptly, well packaged and in pristine condition. The local deer ate several of our outdoor plants, but stopped after one taste of Sarracenia, leaving all but one pitcher intact. I'm very satisfied with the transaction.
