Great Gift
Bought this as a gift for my friend and brother in law who is into plants. He sent me pictures, very healthy and attractive plant with good size to it.
Botanically known as Sarracenia alata var. rubrioperculata, this plant has pointed hoods with a dark red interior. In spring, the plant stands out with its bright yellow-green pitchers with thin red veins. In late summer, it produces a second set of pitchers that are larger and darker with heavier veining. And guess what? This plant feasts on lots of yellow jackets at our nursery!

The red hood was looking great when it arrived and has improved since I put it in the sun. It gets sun 6 to 7 hours. It was a good buy for me. Thanks for the quick delivery time.
I am so enjoying my Sarracenia alata Red Hood. The pitcher hoods are starting to turn red and look lovely. They are happier now that the sun has come out!
The plant arrived carefully packaged, in great condition. Detailed instructions how to unpack and take care of it were included. We've been following the instructions and the plant is doing well so far. We enjoy having it.
