This plant has leaves with an unusual shape - broad and succulent-like with a pointed tipIn bright locations, its leaves turns dark pink. In winter, this plant will drop its large leaves and produce a rosette of smaller leaves. It will remain in this dormant state until late spring.

Plants You Receive

Small-sized plants are shipped in 3-inch pots.  All plants are acclimated for windowsill growing.  Full maturity within 1-2 years.

General Care

Type of Plant: Tropical sundew for windowsill growing.
Native Habitat: Mountains of Mexico.
Sunlight: Very bright filtered sun to dappled sun. 
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).  Set in water to keep the soil wet.
Soil: One part peat moss and two parts perlite.  No garden soil, compost, or fertilizer.
Temperatures: Prefers mild temperatures but always protect from frost.

    Arrived in perfect condition and is doing very well! My new addition seems very happy guarding my African Violets from pesky little My new addition seems very happy in my East facing window with my African Violets which sometimes encourages small gnats. It arrived in perfect condition due to excellent packaging. May add to my collection eventually!

    About a month ago I received two pinguicula. The plants arrived in excellent condition with a pamphlet on how to care for them. They are both doing well and have caught a couple gnats before their transition to winter leaves. At the moment my Pinguicula Aphrodite is about to bloom!

    My plants are healthy and happy. The info sheet was informative and the packing job was professional to the max. Seriously, xmas bonus for who ever does that job.
