Nepenthes trusmadiensis x burbidgeae EP

This hybrid, bred by Exotica Plants, produces large, funnel shaped pitchers with the mottled body and striped peristome of N. burbidgeae, the painted pitcher plant. The pitchers are woody and long lasting with ridged peristomes thanks to the female parent, N. x trusmadiensis, which is a natural hybrid between N. lowii and N. macrophylla. Because all three species are found nearby in Sabah, there is a possibility this hybrid exists in nature.

Pitcher Size Up to 8 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day. Nighttime temperature of 50°-60°F is highly recommended for optimal growth. Always protect from frost.
