Nepenthes Ruby Alice (Rooted Cutting)

This is a complex hybrid grown by Sam Estes of Leilani Nepenthes Nursery. The main features that set this plant apart from other Nepenthes are its upper pitchers. The upper pitchers are funnel-shaped and creamy yellow with shades of red. Dark red rims seem to help make this plant really stand out. The intermediate pitchers (first photo) are also funnel-shaped, but retain some of the dark colors of the lower pitchers. This plant can tolerate quite a bit of light. When the leaves develop a bronze hue, you know your plant is getting adequate sunlight. It's a stunning plant with unique qualities we rarely see in Nepenthes.

GENERAL CARE
Type of Plant: Tropical plant for indoor growing.
Pitcher Size: Up to 8 inches.
Sunlight: Partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: 70°-85°F during the day; 55°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.
