Nepenthes Peter D'Amato
Named after the acclaimed carnivorous plant grower and author Peter D'Amato, this simple hybrid of Nepenthes ventricosa and N. lowii is an absolute showstopper. Lower pitchers are stout and squat, so red they're almost black, with bristles under the lid and a ridged peristome. The upper pitchers are not as darkly colored as the lower pitchers when they first open, but they are very rigid and gourd-like. The interior is glossy red and slippery. The entire pitcher is shaped bulbous-shaped with a tight waist. This plant grows perfectly as a houseplant. After acclimating to its new home, 'Peter D'Amato' can produce pitchers that last up to 6 months!

The plant arrived safely, packed insanely-well, with a beautiful pitcher intact . . .
My plant arrived several days after I ordered. I couldn't believe it. It was in a 2 foot box! It was carefully wrapped and in wonderful shape. There were two pitchers that were at least 2-3 inches long. I've purchased another Nepenthes several months ago and it was packaged the same way. Sarracenia North West is the only store to shop for your carnivorous plants and supplies.
I have a special attraction to lowii hybrids. They are often spectacular. This one arrived in beautiful shape and much bigger than I expected. I have another I bought on eBay years ago that I spent more than twice as much on and it was only slightly larger than the one I received today. Sarracenia Northwest is a great nursery that carnivorous plant freaks like me need to spend more money with.
I received my plant in good shape and well packaged. After a month it is still looking beautiful like the day I received it. Thank you team SNW!
My order arrived very quickly and in great condition. The plant was nice and healthy with a solid pitcher on it. Will order rooted cuttings from here again
It still hasn’t made one pitcher and no one from ask the grower ever gets back to me. I will never order from snw again *** RESPONSE BY SARRACENIA NORTHWEST *** I'm very sorry about your experience. I checked our records. On July 14, you submitted a question regarding your Nepenthes through Ask The Growers. On July 16, Jeff responded to your question. On July 17, you replied back, "Thank you. That helps a lot." On the Ask The Growers, we state that it can take up to 10 business days to respond due to the number of questions and our workload during peak times. There was another inquiry that you submitted on June 16. I (Jacob) responded to your inquiry that same day. On June 22, you responded back indicating that you were satisfied with my response. There was another inquiry that you submitted on July 1. Because it came on Friday before the weekend of a major holiday, I couldn't get to your message until July 6. An hour after I sent you my response, you wrote to me that you never received any response from me. I wrote back requesting you to check your spam folder. So far, I haven't heard back from you regarding that issue. Both Jeff and I have been as prompt as possible in responding to your messages. We're sorry that if other factors have made you believe that we never respond. I only wish I knew what they were so that we could work towards rectifying them. I wish you the best in your plant endeavors.
Beautiful plant. Was bigger than expected. Extremely pleased, thanks.
As always arrived well packed. It had 3 tendrils when shipped. One dried up, but the other 2 have developing pitchers. Already produced a new leaf just waiting to see if it has adjusted to my environment enough to have a leaf jump. Fingers crossed! Thank you so much for all the videos and information on growing Nepenthes. I’m just concerned my wife feels neglected with my new hobby.
As usual.my plant came perfectly wrapped, and in excellent condition. Beautiful when it arrived, with about 6 leaves developing. It is doing great now with those new leaves begining to develop pitchers. Very happt with my order, and looking ahead to future purchases.
