Named after the acclaimed carnivorous plant grower and author Peter D'Amato, this simple hybrid of Nepenthes ventricosa and N. lowii is an absolute showstopper. Lower pitchers are stout and squat, so red they're almost black, with bristles under the lid and a ridged peristome. The upper pitchers are not as darkly colored as the lower pitchers when they first open, but they are very rigid and gourd-like. The interior is glossy red and slippery. The entire pitcher is shaped bulbously shaped with a tight waist. This plant grows perfectly as a houseplant. After acclimating to its new home, 'Peter D'Amato' can produce pitchers that last up to 6 months!

I got this plant about a month ago. It's doing so well, and has already grown a pitcher that's about to open up. The plant arrived in perfect condition. You all take such great care in packing them for shipping.

Nice big cutting of a legendary cross!!

Posted by Tim K. on May 5, 2021

The rooted cutting that I ordered came in perfect condition, as Jacob says "as if it came right out of the SNW greenhouse." It didn't have any ptichers (as expected) but it was clearly rooted and well-established. The PDA cutting seamlessly transitioned to it's new envoironment in my greenhouse and started pushing new growth a couple of weeks later. I can't wait to see this legendary hybrid start to put out pitchers. I highly recommend SNW Nepenthes cuttings to any collector looking to pick up well-established cuttings of some amazing species and hybrids!!

Super large rooted cutting that has been already established, reasonably priced. Came in nicely packaged and pest free. I would definitely buy from Sarracenia Northwest again. Thank you so much for the great service!

    Sarracenia Northwest: The Gold Standard

Posted by Thomas Carter on July 2, 2020

I have purchased lots of carnivorous plants from Sarracenia Northwest. They are always of robust, superior quality and always arrive impeccably packaged and in perfect condition. This gives them a huge head start when compared with the weak and stressed plants I have received from other places. Other vendors don't come close to the quality and packaging of these folks, who obviously take great pride in their work. They are the gold standard in carnivorous plant sales.
