Nepenthes glabrata is famous for its dainty yet extremely colorful pitchers (up to 4 inches), its vining habit, and its narrow leaves. It prefers very mild daytime temperatures and thrives in bright light. It's a prize for any collector, and a good candidate for the grower who has limited space but plenty of light and a cool growing area. In time, this species can grow long, branching vines that will beautifully adorn your windowsill.

Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day. Nighttime temperature of 50°-60°F is highly recommended for optimal growth. Always protect from frost.

Rooted Cuttings
Plants grown via rooted cutting often produce larger plants quicker than plants grown from seed or tissue culture. They are also genetically identical to its mother plant.
I loved my first Glabrata so much I bought a second one. One has pale green colored pitchers while the other has reddish pitchers, both are growing quite well outside (South East US). The small plants are beautiful, larger than expected with long elegant tendrils that extend to the "ground" then pitcher quickly. This is easily my current favorite Nep.
This is a vine cutting and doesn't have a basal rosette. Still, it is healthy and growing well.
I immediately bought 2 more after I bought the first. Received in great condition. I was worried about it being shipped but it was incredibly packaged. We spoil ourselves with 2 day amazon shipping, I was not unhappy about the shipping. Well worth it. Will definitely be buying more

I ordered my plant in the early spring, but with crazy Minnesota weather happening, it was too dangerous for the plant to be shipped, even with a hot pack. Plant arrived in Connecticut in top shape as they always do. It is now sitting in an east windowsill along with other Nepenthes and Butterworts.
I received an N. glabrata cutting from Sarracenia Northwest about a month ago. It arrived in great shape and was a nice ~3" diameter plant at that time. I ordered one Nepenthes glabrata which was well packed and arrived in great shape, very healthy looking and I hope I can keep it that way! I Have it under a 4 T5 bulb fixture, it seems to be doing well so far. It has been about a month, new leaves coming and traps developing.
