This plant was from a batch of N. [(lowii x veitchii) x (maxima x veitchii)] x platychila grown from seed and bred by the fine folks at Exotica Plants in Australia. Pitchers from this cross produce very colorful pitchers and peristomes of varying shapes and colors. Chanel is one of two that we selected to be part of our regular inventory. It features an unusually shaped perstome heavily influenced by its maxima genetics. The plant is also female.
