Plants You Receive

• Established rooted cutting from select mother plants.
• Acclimated for windowsill growing.
• Shipped in a 3.5-inch pot and meticulously packaged.

First photo is representative of the mother plant from which divisions were taken. Subsequent photos are representative of the batch of plants for sale.

For all divisions, we wait until there is at least one new open pitcher on a plant before offering it for sale. This takes a minimum of 6 -9 months, longer in some instances. To prep plants for sale, we cut off all pitchers that have significantly discolored during the acclimation process, so a plant might have fewer pitchers than normal. Some order leaves left on a plant may still be mildly discolored. This is a normal process as they age. Plants will develop a full set of pitchers within another 6-12 months.

    Beautiful Heliamphora!

Our plant arrived in excellent condition (very well packed) and earlier than expected. We've had it for a month now and is growing happily in this Florida summer weather, and about to bloom.

My new plant arrived in perfect condition and is absolutely beautiful! It was also much bigger than advertised, shipped lightning quick, and was packaged very safely. I read an online review of Sarracenia Northwest before I placed my first order and the person said once you buy from here, you will be spoiled for all other plant sellers and they were right. I am beyond happy with my new plant!! Thank you!!

    H. heterodoxa growth

Posted by Walter J. Barnett on March 22, 2020

I am the admin and creator of the Facebook group “Heliamphora United States”. I grow several hybrids of Heliamphora heterodoxa, but finding the pure species of heterodoxa is quite difficult. In the past month mine has sent out a new leaf and is doing well.

    Great Little Plant

Posted by Matt Matteri on February 5, 2020

The plant arrive well packaged and in good order, with two adult pitchers and one small one just beginning to form. The plant resumed producing pitchers a few weeks after arrival. The included documentation is sufficient for an inexperienced grower to keep the plant alive.

    First Heliamphora

Posted by Howard Grill on November 27, 2019

This was my first Heliamphora. Arrived super healthy looking. It says it's a slow grower but the half developed second pitcher opened nicely and now I've got a third one that's coming up. Couldn't be happier. Will definitely be buying more from these folks!

This plant arrived in fantastic health and out on 2 new pitchers within a month of receiving. The sun pitcher continues to do well in my warm house, I look forward to growing more from Sarracenia Northwest.
