For all divisions, we wait until there is at least one new open pitcher on a plant before offering it for sale. This takes a minimum of 6 -9 months, longer in some instances. To prep plants for sale, we cut off all pitchers that have significantly discolored during the acclimation process, so a plant might have fewer pitchers than normal. Some order leaves left on a plant may still be mildly discolored. This is a normal process as they age. Plants will develop a full set of pitchers within another 6-12 months.

General Care
Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for windowsill growing.
Native Habitat: Flat mountain tops of Venezuela.
Sunlight: Partial to full sun, or strong fluorescent lights.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less). Allow water to drain through.
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite. No garden soil, compost, or fertilizer.
Temperatures: Mild day temperatures. Avoid excessive heat and scorching sunlight. Nighttime drop of 15°- 20° is recommended. Always protect from frost.
Best for the experienced grower.
Adult specimens will produce pitchers 4-8 inches tall. The pitchers have a red margin and a slightly pointed spoon (or hood). FOR THE EXPERIENCED GROWER.
