Big Pink is a selected breeding of the white leaf and red leaf forms of Drosera capensis. In bright sunlight, the plant produces long pink leaves that are larger than its parent plants. A fully mature plant has a leaf span of 6 inches and often get to 6 inches tall. As a cool-tropical species, this plant likes it sunny but cool. It may slow down significantly during the hottest parts of summer, but watch it take off again when the summer heat passes. This is the most vigorous Cape sundew in our collection. Great for the first-time grower.

Sunlight: Partial sun. Avoid hot sunlight.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Tolerant of cool temperatures but always protect from frost.

The Big Pink came in perfectly packaged and with no need to pot as it came already potted unlike other carnivorous
plant sellers that ship bare root which can be inconvenient for new carnivorous plant parents. I've killed a few potting them up not knowing exactly what I was doing. Potting carnivorous plants can be tricky as some are very sensitive to root disruption. Idk why others insist on shipping them bare root. Glad SNW isn't that way. My Big Pink has grown in considerable size after 3 months. Can't wait to see it flourish during the hot summer bug season.

Drosera big pink
It arrived so healthy and was packaged so well, the plant was bigger then expected! The plant grew so fast in a couple of weeks and was it was growing a flower right now I can't wait to see that flower bloom! Also the plant cached so many insects the biggest one yet was a wasp, I was very impressed. I recommend buying this drosera it is very amazing, trust me.

The plant came in excellent condition right out of the package! I have owned D. Capensis variities in the past but not BP. I have sent a few to my friends trying to hook them on CP's and explain many of them are not some delicate orchid. AND IT EATS BUGs!!!!! I have had great satisfaction dealing with your company to change one of my orders up a little and you didnt miss a beat! Its getting hot here in PDX can BP handle it on a windowsill that gets STRONG late afternoon sunshine? (Not sure I can lol) I am a satisfied customer and will return! KEEP GROWING!

Such a beautiful Sundew!
I was so excited to receive my Sundew, as this was my first carnivorous plant. It was packaged very well and made it through shipping perfectly. She is thriving in my kitchen windowsill that faces the West. She is quite content and is very active since it is summer. Thank you for this gorgeous plant!

Very healthy plant
I'm new to carnivorous plants, except for one Venus fly trap I've had for a couple of years, and was excited to breach out by ordering sundews. I ordered this d. capensis, big pink and a d. spatulata Both arrived quickly and in good condition and were packaged well. Will definitely order from Sarracenia Northwest again.
