"Small, yet mighty" is a befitting description of this compact sundew. An adult plant is no more than an inch across, but it's still powerful enough to capture small houseflies. When the plant senses an insect touching it, its tentacles will quickly move towards the insect to ensure its capture. This species was once thought of as an annual, mostly because it dies off in winter in the wild. In cultivation, the plant can live for a few years. Grow this plant in a very sunny, warm location. In summer, you may grow it outdoors, but bring it indoors before the frost of fall. The plant will self-propagate with seeds. Lots of seeds.
