Dionaea: Venus Flytraps
Native to the coastal plains of North Carolina, the Venus flytrap is a hardy perennial best grown outdoors in a container where it can go through the seasons. In summer, it prefers warm and very sunny conditions. In fall, the plant stops growing and goes into dormancy. During winter, while dormant, it can survive frosts down to 20°F with minimal protection. Expect new growth in spring.
