Dionaea muscipula Red Dragon Flytrap
See below for a full description.
This flytrap has red leaves and traps. Young plants are bright red all over. As it matures, it turns maroon with a green edge along the traps. Despite its attractive red leaves, it dislikes excessive heat. It also dislikes root disturbance, so we suggest repotting it only in late winter before the growing season starts. In fall, it slows down and gets ready for winter dormancy by dropping nearly all of its traps. While dormant, this plant can survive an overnight frost down to 20°F. Growth picks up again in spring.
The Red Dragon Flytrap is best suited for growers who have experience with the more common variety.

DIONAEA MUSCIPULA RED DRAGON FLYTRAP
USDA Zone 6a-6b I received my Red Dragon Venus Flytrap in excellent condition. They are currently resting in one to two inches of distilled water (0 ppm) via refrigerator storage (36° - 40°) with around 45% humidity.

Red dragon
I got two flytraps from them; one is doing really well, and the other is struggling and not looking like it was going to make it. They did send a new one, which was nice of them, and I look forward to buying more from them.

Flytrap
Good morning , The plants are doing very well , growing and one just finished flowering. I have 3 flytraps and when insects come into contact with the traps they stick but it doesn’t close. I imagine the plant still gets the nutrients from the bug regardless, is this correct? Other than that everything is enjoyable. Thank you, Ted

Plant came tiny and beautiful. Unfortunately inside and outside I am having a hard time keeping this particular species alive, so the litte guy has unfortunately passed already due to owner error:(
