Dionaea muscipula Red Dragon Flytrap
See below for a full description.
This flytrap has red leaves and traps. Young plants are bright red all over. As it matures, it turns maroon with a green edge along the traps. Despite its attractive red leaves, it dislikes excessive heat. It also dislikes root disturbance, so we suggest repotting it only in late winter before the growing season starts. In fall, it slows down and gets ready for winter dormancy by dropping nearly all of its traps. While dormant, this plant can survive an overnight frost down to 20°F. Growth picks up again in spring.
The Red Dragon Flytrap is best suited for growers who have experience with the more common variety.

Dionaea muscipula Red Dragon Flytrap
I absolutely love my Red dragon flytrap, when I got her I was initially a little concerned that her leaves and heads looked a little dark from traveling. But over the month she has been thriving and now has huge tall traps. Her original stem were only about an inch long and now her stems are 3 1/2 inch long with traps the size of my thumb. Needless to say I'm very happy with how well she is doing.

Excellent
I love this plant. I bought it for a friend but I ended up keeping him. He has started to make new flytraps. Little baby flytraps. I have never seen it close or open the flytrap. I just think it is such a neat plant.
