General Description

This fantastic cross combines the best of both worlds: the light-windows and translucence of Sarracenia leucophylla, with the stout form and vigor of S. oreophila. A truly rewarding beauty, it produces many full-sized pitchers with generously wide mouths. The upper portions of the trap are dotted with light windows, so that in the sun they catch light and glow like fat green lanterns!

During the hottest parts of summer, the plant will take a short siesta. In late summer when the weather cools, look for a fresh set of larger pitchers for the fall season. Produces many stunning red flowers in spring.
Plants You Receive
Plants are shipped in 4-inch pots with proper growing media. Each plant is a division from select mother plants in our collection. Pitchers are expected to reach 12 inches during their first season after division.

All cold hardy plants are grown outdoors at our nursery in Oregon and experience the changes of the seasons. Care instructions are provided.

Please watch the monthly video for examples of how your plant may look at this time of the year and important growing tips for the season.

These are my first carnivorous plant, not counting venus fly traps I got as a kid. I'm very pleased with the speed they arrived and all in great condition. Plenty of growing instructions were included.  All of them are still alive and thriving (pitcher plants are planted outside and are dormant now, but healthy).
