This plant is relative new in cultivation. Its leaves have an unusual shape - broad and succulent-like with a pointed tip - likely the result of its complex parentage, Pinguicula medusina x (moranensis x ehlersiae). In bright locations, its leaves turns dark pink.
In winter, this plant will drop its large leaves and produce a rosette of smaller leaves. It will remain in this dormant state until late spring.
