This plant was part of a wild breeding at Leilani Nepenthes Nursery. The actual parentage is unknown, though it is suspected to be Nepenthes boschiana x (spectabilis x veitchii). When we received the first batch from LNN, the hybrid had a wide range of colors and patterns. We kept two particular plants for our collection, a red form and an orange form.
The orange form has sturdy pitchers adorned with red-orange flecks against a light orange background. The peristome (or lip) has light orange stripes against a yellow background. The leaves are leathery. Overall, the plant grows strongly and is tolerant of wide temperature swings.
Plants You Receive
Your plant will be shipped potted in a 4-inch pot. All plants are established rooted cuttings and were propagated on-site from proven mother plants in our collection.
The last photo is representative of the plants for sale. Pitchers may or may not be present at the time of shipping. Plants will need time to acclimate to household conditions before it will produce pitchers.
