This is our favorite form of S. flava. Its pitchers are red, but the interior is bright yellow. This color combination is very striking! No other Sarracenia species has it, which makes this plant highly desirable among Sarracenia collectors. Look for its best pitchers in late spring and early summer.

The original plant came from North Carolina and found its way to a private collection in New Zealand, where it remained for many years before divisions circulated among growers in the United States.
