While our plants are shipped potted, you might want extra pots and soil if you have other plants to repot or just prefer your plants in larger containers. Each set of pots includes a 1/2-gallon of soil mix. All soil mixes are guaranteed to be free of fertilizers and contaminants. Soil is shipped dried and should be moistened thoroughly before use.

Regular Soil Mix (Peat Moss and Perlite)

• 50/50: 50% peat moss and 50% perlite, our standard mix for many plants and pot sizes.
• 40/60: 40% peat moss and 60% perlite, a good mix for small pots and young plants.  Also a good mix for regulating soil temperature in desert climates.
  If in doubt which to use, select 50/50.
