A spectacular creation from the Victorian age of Nepenthes horticulture, N. Tiveyi ("tivvey-ai") is a cross between two highland species, N. maxima x veitchii. The clone Red Queen originated from Exotica Plants in Australia and has proven to be an absolute gem. It produces one of the most spectacular pitchers we've ever seen. The lower traps are brightly colored with orange and red blotches, and the peristome is boldly striped orange, red, and yellow. This plant also adapts amazingly well as a houseplant. We had one growing in our kitchen window for a winter, and it produced several nice pitchers, though they were smaller than the plants we kept in our greenhouse. Still, it's a fantastic plant that can take a wide range of temperature and humidity.

This plant is getting adapted to our texas heat and it's new environment. It is taking it a little while, but it is putting out new pitchers already and new leaves. Seems to really like our high humidity in central texas.

This Nepenthes hybrid arrived in great shape,is very healthy, and is much larger than I would have thought. I was very happy with this plant and how it was packaged. Trust me, I was like a kid opening a loved present on Christmas morning. I will definitely, and have already, ordered more plants from Sarravenia Northwest.
