Nepenthes rafflesiana, Mizuho (Rooted Cutting)
Nepenthes rafflesiana is well-established in cultivation, though it's not as common nowadays as it used to be in the 1990s and early 2000s. Even less common is this particular variety. It's a winged form, which means the wings on the pitchers are exceptionally large when compared to a more typical variety of N. rafflesiana. The wings will also appear on an entire tendril, producing a very unusual effect. Alas, it will only do so in lowland conditions (warm nights, closer to 70°F). However, the plant will still produce pitchers in our highland greenhouse, so at least there's that. This particular clone comes from a botanical garden in Mizuho, a city in southern Japan.

Rooted Cuttings
Plants grown via rooted cutting often produce larger plants quicker than plants grown from seed or tissue culture. They are also genetically identical to its mother plant.
