Nepenthes Gaya was originally bred by Sam Estes of Leilani Nepenthes in 2004. This is the first of his plants to be mass produced and widely available. A full size plant will sport 6-inch colorful pitchers with red-orange splotches against a yellow background. It grows very well as a houseplant and appreciates lots of bright filtered sunlight or partial sun. The full parentage of this plant is Nepenthes khasiana x ( ventricosa x maxima).
Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for indoor growing.
Pitcher Size: Up to 6 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day; 55°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.

Bought this for my 14 year old grandson’s birthday and it was a huge hit with him. Plant was nicely packaged and arrived safely. Of course, now he wants more of them! :)

Magic bullet for fruit flies
We eat tons of fresh fruit and veggies. They attract fruit flies. We have been plagued with them all summer. Along comes this magical plant and the population declines to zero over 30 days. I still don’t understand how it worked so quickly or how a each tiny pod can eat 2 or so per day. It’s possible, they decided to all lay their eggs in it. Either way, the nuisances are finally finito.

I bought this plant for my boss's birthday as it reminded me so much of her. (Pink and cheetah print). I had ordered a small, and to my surprise, this amazing company sent me a medium after conversating with them about trying to get one with a couple pitchers already on it! I can't say enough good things about this company! Usually, I only rate 4 stars as every business always has room for improvement, but for this purchase, it's a solid FIVE STARS!

It's growing vigorously and has produced a pitcher with every leaf it has grown.it always has insects in the traps and is beginning to get a nice Red -ish leaf color it's One of my very favorite plants
