Beautiful plant perfectly set up for new growth and not skimpy. I'm having a few problems with new trap growth but I think we're all going to struggle a little bit without a greenhouse.
Deroose Alata is an excellent plant for the beginner. It's easy to grow, and you really have to go out of your way to kill it. Pitchers are durable and beautifully pink-red. On larger plants, pitchers can be 6 inches tall. This plant also grows quicker than other types of Nepenthes. You can end up with a long vine in just a few months, which makes this plant one of the most rewarding carnivorous plants to grow. Many garden centers mistakenly label this plant as Nepenthes Alata. However, it is actually a hybrid, Nepenthes alata x ventricosa.
Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for indoor growing.
Pitcher Size: Up to 6 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day; 55°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.

Healthy plants - growing well
I have had no issues with these plants. They arrived well packaged and after a settling in period are now producing new pitchers. I'm looking forward to seeing them grow more as temperatures warm up!

Great plant
Came packaged well, and way healthy with 2 pitchers and one growing. It's since grown 3 more. I live in a desert area, so I mist it at least 2 times daily. But nothing major. Great plant overall.

I'd bought a Nepenthes x Derrose Alata a few years ago for my office. This plant only gets artificial light, albeit a grow light, and when I'm out of town, I rely on my undependable co-workers to mist/water it. This plant is a monster. I've named her Cleopatra Jones due to her exotic and vigorous nature! This plant, well, not so much. It has flowered on a short stalk, but I believe that it's a survival mechanism. We'll see, but I don't have high expectations for a long life.
