Our resident Nepenthes grower, Sean Springfield, bred this hybrid. He chose a clone of Nepenthes boschiana with darkly mottled, elongated pitchers and the Bario form of Nepenthes veitchii, known for its tubby pitchers and flared, striped peristomes. From his seed batch, he selected the most vigorous and eye-catching plant for our collection.

ROOTED CUTTINGS
Rooted cuttings are genetically identical to the mother plant and produce larger, mature plants more quickly than plants grown from seed or propagated by tissue culture. Each plant has been growing for 6-12 months since the cutting was taken.

GENERAL CARE
Type of Plant: Tropical houseplant.
Pitcher Size: Up to 8 inches.
Sunlight: Partial sun.
Water: Rainwater, distilled water, or other low-mineral water measuring 50 ppm or less. Allow the water to drain through.
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: 70°-85°F during the day; 55°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.
