Description

This species is a demure plant. When fully grown, it is just under 2 inches in diameter, but it can reproduce itself by sending out shoots, producing a mound of multiple plants with spoon-shaped leaves. Give it ample sunlight in a sunny windowsill. With the right care, your plant will produce lovely pink flowers. It's an excellent plant for the first-time grower.

GENERAL CARE
Type of Plant: Tropical plant for windowsill growing.
Size: 2 inches across when mature.
Sunlight: Partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Tolerant of cool temperatures, but always protect from frost.

Fine healthy plant arrived in perfect shape (in a Minnesota winter) and has been thriving ever since. Ditto the other tropical sundew I ordered. I would like to have a Drosera rotundifolia some day as well if you grow them.

Plants were in excellent shape and they were packaged well. No damage to any leaves. With in one week they both started growing, and duplicating. By summer time I may need to divide them. So basically, I am really happy with these purchases. I was thinking maybe November was not the time to buy them, but it worked out pretty well.

The plants that I received from this company have all been packaged beautifully and they’re so hydrated they made it to North Carolina with no issues . I placed this plant at a south west window and less than a few weeks. It has a new little baby shoot absolutely gorgeous and I’m so excited. So dewy.. I have another one that’s a little bit more white and that one does need a lot more sun. I’m watching it because the sunlight was becoming an issue for it. Neighbors did a clearing of the trees near the backyard now I think it’s gonna do way better. It also three new leaves that are showing up. I highly recommend to give these a try.

I ordered two sundews, a spatulata and an aliciae, and both arrived well packaged and healthy looking. Will definitely order again!

My order arrived complete and well packed every everything looked fine. Placed my spatulata next to my aliciae in small sucers or rainwater. At first, it appeared the spatula and aliciae were growing well. Both were putting out flowers. Now the spatulata appear to be dying while the aliciae is growing. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I got this spatulata and a couple other plans as part of my first order from this nursery. After watching their care videos on YouTube (love the nastagia of the early 2000s recording) I’ve been able to care for these plants so well. The spatulata hasn’t stopped flowering since it arrived in the mail. It’s nearly doubled in size since I got it a month ago. All of the plants have always arrived in perfect condition. Can’t ask for more. They also add complementary winter proofing. That isn’t very common nowadays. Love you guys at Sarracenia Northwest.

Ordered two of the Drosera spatulata in November. Plants arrived very cold and very healthy. Let them acclimate to the house for two days and planted them in our terrarium with my flytraps. Both plants look and are doing great.
