Drosera intermedia

(72 reviews)

This eye-catching plant gets up to 3 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. Its uniform shape gives it the appearance of a miniature tree. The only difference, of course, is that this tree sparkles in sunlight! In the wild, this sundew is found in parts of boggy areas that are often flooded with an inch or two of water.  In cultivation, keep the water level fairly high, about 3/4 of the way up the pot. In winter, the leaves will die back, and the plant will form a resting bud sitting at soil level. Growth will resume in mid-spring.

Type of Plant: Outdoor perennial for container growing.
Leaves: 3-4 inches at maturity.
Sunlight: Partial to full sun during the growing season.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite only.
Winter: Dormant. Minimal protection in USDA zones 7-9. Mulch in colder regions.

• Sub-adult plant, acclimated for outdoor growing.
• Shipped in a 3-inch pot. Care instructions are included.

Well packed for shipping. This little guy has already grown so much in the month since purchase. It's even spawned a second plant on its own.

    Looked good

Posted by Unknown on July 6, 2020

This guy looked good for the first few days, but ultimately has shriveled up and turned brown completely. HOWEVER, this is totally due to the Arizona heat and ordering in summer wasn't my best decision... I'm sure it was due to the stress of being shipped here. It's totally not anyone's fault, but I'm hoping with a little luck I can bring him back again. I will HAPPILY order from you guys in the future! Really great carnivores

    Extremely healthy, and quickly adjusted.

This Dundee was much hardier then other CP's from other grow centers or home depot, or nurseries. It took little time for it to adjust to the dry and intense summer heat of the sun. I recommend putting it in an area the is inaccessible to pest like raccoons or squirrels as they one like to rip and bury nuts in the soil, while the other licks and bites off the entire crown of the plant.
