This sundew has long thread-like leaves, which gives this plant its common name, dewthread. Long thin leaves slowly rise, standing tall and proud. Small drops of nectar glisten ever so slightly, reflecting the suns rays and enticing insects to taste its sweet offerings. By the end of summers, the plant is flecked with trophies of its conquests. Leaves on adult plant often approach 8 inches. In winter, the plant will die back and form a resting bud sitting at soil level. Growth will resume in mid-spring.
