This sundew has long, thread-like leaves, which give this plant its common name, dewthread. Long, thin leaves slowly rise, standing tall and proud. Small drops of nectar glisten slightly, reflecting the sun's rays and attracting insects with their sweet scent. By the end of summer, the plant is dotted with trophies of its conquests. In winter, the plant dies back and forms a resting bud sitting at soil level. Growth will start again in mid-spring.
