Dionaea muscipula King Henry Flytrap

While this arrived in great shape, it was noticeably much less vigorous and did not have many traps compared to my other plant. This can be attributed to the plant being in flowering stage, which I am still trying to get it to transition out of (I've trimmed the flower twice and have had it in full sun). I'm hoping to get it back to vegetative growth to see how big those traps will get, but so far they pale in comparison to the size of the common variety traps. It does seem to survive well without a terrarium, which is a big advantage with GCP's products.

I have never grown "King Henry" Venus flytrap, and so I was glad to order this one on a special. I received a nice small plant that has continued to grow normally first when inside under fluorescent lights and now outside in the sunlight. RESPONSE FROM SARRACENIA NORTHWEST: We do not at all recommend growing flytraps under fluorescent lights, especially during the growing season. These are cold hardy plants native to North Carolina. At our nursery in Oregon, we grow them strictly outdoors. No terrariums or artificial growing conditions for these guys! We always recommend following the care instructions provided with your plant. Plants are only guaranteed for 30 days when the care instructions are followed. The guarantee is void should you decide to go rogue. :-)

My king Henry is thriving with beautiful vigorous traps! It's already catching daddy long legs on my porch. Totally recommended this plant for a begginer! P.S don't forget to buy the volume 1 DVD for successful growing!

When I purchased this one it said Small.... well it's a lot bigger and more mature than I thought it would be... even had a few little ones clustered around its base. And the packaging was perfect. Got here quick.

I had bought two plants of King Henry Venus Flytraps for my home, but had instead brought them to the office. Sitting in a south facing window, and getting daily drinks of bottled water, the plants have been doing great! In the big office somehow any flies make their way to the plants, and co workers love them. They've gotten so big, I'm re potting them tomorrow!
