A cultivated variety that has short, triangular teeth. Its leaves tend to grow upright during the growing season. Because of its shorter teeth, It tends to capture insects by their heads!
Type of Plant: Outdoor perennial for container growing.
Height: Up to 3 inches at maturity.
Sunlight: Full sun during the growing season.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite only.
Winter: Dormant. Minimal protection in USDA zones 7-9. Mulch in colder regions.

All outdoor perennials experience seasonal changes at our nursery in Oregon.
• January-March: Plant is dormant with few traps.
• April: Spring growth will appear by the end of the month.
• May: Still waking up. Fully developed traps will gradually appear.
• June-August: Full display of traps.
• September: Plant is slowing down. Upright traps start to drop.
• October: Dormancy begins. Fewer traps. No new growth until spring.
• November-December: Plant is dormant. Browned traps are cut off.

In great shape
My plant arrived in great shape. The leaves are very small right now, and last fortnight's ice storm had no effect on it. It's still waiting to burst forth with spring's warmth.

Very eye catching
Planted them in a floating rock and everyone talks about them, I told my grand kids "I hope they don't bit the fishes fingers off" After looking at me they both told me they don't have fingers! Fun plants can't wait to order more.

SNW Tops!
I have been a lurker for a while reading and watching the great videos by Jeff and Jacob. I've loved CPs since the '70s learning from the Pietropaolo book and still have it...Lots have changed ! I had asked Jeff a number of questions since he was the first to reply and then once I was ready, Jacob was the fulfillment guy (amongst all the other things he does). I just received my first batch of plants from SNW and they were PERFECT. Just like they say, that it will look like you picked them up at their nursery upon arrival. The best packing I have seen since I have ordered from other sellers for items they did not have in stock at the time. BTW mine showed up in 1 day. They really live up to their high billing as many have attested to and I am another firm believer of their friendly, open and excellent customer care. I thought I would be pleased but I did not know I'd be amazed. Thank you Jeff and Jacob for all you do for all of us. : )

My flytrap (now named Rasputin) arrived well packaged. It came with instructions for unwrapping it from packaging as well as a great care manual! Very happy customer!
