A cultivated variety that has short, triangular teeth. Its leaves tend to grow upright during the growing season. Because of its shorter teeth, It tends to capture insects by their heads!

Type of Plant: Outdoor perennial for container growing.
Height: Up to 3 inches at maturity.
Sunlight: Full sun during the growing season.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite only.
Winter: Dormant. Minimal protection in USDA zones 7-9. Mulch in colder regions.

All outdoor perennials experience seasonal changes at our nursery in Oregon.
January-March: Plant is dormant with few traps.
April: Spring growth will appear by the end of the month.
May: Still waking up. Fully developed traps will gradually appear.
June-August: Full display of traps.
September: Plant is slowing down. Upright traps start to drop.
October: Dormancy begins. Fewer traps. No new growth until spring.
November-December: Plant is dormant. Browned traps are cut off.

    The plant was nicely packaged - potted - and in good health when it arrived. It was just coming out of dormancy and is doing nicely.

    Looks very strong and healthy :) They all do. We are VERY pleased with our purchase. All the way around. My husband and I bought 7 plants all together, and they arrived so well packaged. Some real love in it, we could tell. ALL 7 are doing very well and getting ready to be re~potted soon. We are def going to be purchasing from you again Thank You :)

    My first plant I bought from this nursery and it's a fantastic little plant. It captivated me with its unusual teeth. At first I didn't think it would of been capable of catching insects but it does! RECOMMENDED

    This plant is doing its thing!! I wish you guys sold a collection of dionaeas because I want to grow my collection from your nursery., instead of purchasing them one by one.
