2nd Season Divisions
After dividing our mother plants in spring, we grow the divisions for a year before releasing them. You get a more vigorous plant with a healthier root system when compared to a recent division.

All outdoor perennials experience seasonal changes at our nursery in Oregon.

April: Spring growth will appear by the end of the month.
May: Fully developed pitchers will start to appear.
June: Full display of pitchers. This plant will look its best!
July-August: Plant will slow down when it’s hot. Some minor spotting.
September-October: Dormancy begins. Fewer pitchers. No new growth until spring.
November-December: Plant is dormant. Browned pitchers are cut off.

Four new traps already. Great form but small. About six inches tall. Next time I will get a larger plant. Still a very pretty specimen.

So I when I first checked out I was a little shocked by the shipping cost of two plants (20usd est.) But when the plants arrived already in there pots I understood why. I’m very glad they were too as it made things a lot easier for me as far as care. Printed care Guides were given on both plants and I was also given a cd that was Full of tips for care for all kinds of carnivorous plants. Truely spectacular. The flava ornata is just now getting its first spring pitcher, I can’t wait to see how it turns out

The plant was delivered on time and in great condition. Some phyllodia were left on the plant to help the exit from dormancy in the spring. I transplant the plant in a bigger pot and I cannot wait to see how the plant will look like in the spring.
