General Description

The spoon leaf sundew, Drosera spatulata, is a demure plant. When fully grown, it is just under 2 inches in diameter, but it can reproduce itself by sending out shoots, producing a mound of multiple plants with spoon-shaped leaves.

Like a pet rock, the spoon leaf sundew can keep you company when you're at work, making dinner, or enjoying a stroll through the park. With the right care, your plant will produce lovely pink flowers for you. It's an excellent plant for the first time grower.

Happy after a month February 8, 2018
Reviewer: Aaron from Fort Morgan, CO United States
Have had the plant for a month now, appears to still be recovering from transport. Dew production has yet to kick in but there is a bit of new growth getting ready to open. The photo I remember seeing when I made my purchase showed the spatulata with multiple leaves laying flat stemming from a single rosette; I was surprised to see mine came almost as a mound with multiple little plants. The photo seen was probably taken very close up. Sarracenia NW does indicate in the description that tends to do this. Regardless, the plant is doing well and I’m looking forward to seeing it mature. Sarracenia NW does a fantastic job with packaging and shipping any plant you purchase and have done a great job in responding to any of my questions and providing guidance.
