Sarracenia minor v. okefenokeensis is the coveted giant form of the typical S. minor, from southern Georgia. It's identical to its smaller brethren, except it's twice as big! In fact, its among the beefiest plants we grow here at the nursery, where we favor it in our displays.

Like typical S. minor, Okee giants have large, coppery hoods that cover the opening of the pitchers, and the arched back of their traps are flecked with white spots that let in light to confuse potential prey within. It has an intoxicating honey-sweet aroma about it, making it one of our most charismatic plants.

Okee giants appreciate warm muggy summers and long growing seasons. In areas where summers are relatively mild, it grows a bit slower. With the right growing conditions, you may get to enjoy bright yellow flowers in late spring.
