General Description

A fully grown Florida Giant dewthread is a truly impressive plant. It produces slender dewy green leaves that towers over the typical form of dewthread. By the end of the season, many leaves are dotted with carcasses.

In winter, the leaves will die back, and the plant will form a resting bud sitting at soil level. Growth will resume in mid-spring.

Wow! Growing like crazy! April 24, 2016

This is a shocker how fast and big this one gets! All sorts of gnats and small flies already stuck in the arms. Had in the pot for 4 weeks, and has tripled in size. Arms are about 4" long each. Great sundew!

They're adding new growth since they arrived but seem to grow a little slower than some of my other Sundews, but they are still lovely looking with all of their dew sparkling in the light.

Very nice D. filiformis "Florida Giant" May 18, 2015
Reviewer: Joe Langreder from Gary, IN United States
This plant was so well packaged that the dew was still on all the leaves when I received it. Showed no stress from shipping. Very healthy plant with excellent colors. Had it in less than a week. Started catching bugs the very first day I put it outside. 3 days later there are 4 new leaves coming up. I've never been disappointed with an order from SNW!
