Cephalotus, or the Australian pitcher, is prefers mild day temperatures with a significant amount of direct sunlight - partial to full sun. Cool nights are also necessary. As a native to the southwestern coast of Australia, it can be grown outdoors in very mild regions of the United States throughout the year. Many growers in zone 9 regions report that they've kept their plants outdoors throughout the year! Plants in our private collection have successfully experienced snow and temperatures as low as 25°F for a couple days at a time. But, this plant also grows fine in a sunny windowsill with very stable temperatures.

Posted by Earl on July 24, 2020

I got this lovely plant about a month ago. Oka6nted it in a terrarium hoping there would be no transplant shock. The plant did not skip a beat and is sending out several new pitchers. Packaging was phenomenal, shipping was quick and everything is perfect. Don't hesitate, this is good!

The Cephalotus follicularis I received was a little smaller than I was expecting but still extremely impressive and healthy. Also everything in my order was packaged beautifully and carefully. I'm very happy with everything I ordered and I will definitely be ordering from you again.

It came in reality good shape. The packaging was great. And now I have my cephalotus growing new leaf. It seems to like the care I give.
