Bare Root Rhizomes
These Sarracenia rhizomes are offered only during winter dormancy (January through March). They may be recent smaller divisions of overstocked plants or extra large rhizomes that are too large to ship during the growing season. We trim off all leaves from the previous growing season and ship them without soil or pots. You will need to have the appropriate materials for immediate potting.
While bare root rhizomes can be a very economical way to build your Sarracneia collection, they are best suited for the experienced grower. If you are growing Sarracenia for the first time, we highly recommend starting with an established potted plant to become familiar with the plant's care and growth habits.
